A specialist in European integration. Prior to coming to ICPS, Mr. Liakh worked for the Mission of Ukraine to EU. There, he worked as a Deputy Representative in a High-level Group on transport and his responsibilities included participating in negotiations on aviation agreements and the civilian satellite navigation system, GALILEO. Mr. Liakh has was responsible for Ukraine–EU cooperation in transport, aviation, space, science and technology, interregional and cross-border issues, as well as in Technical Assistance, especially in launching Twinning program in Ukraine. Mr. Liakh has more than 20 years’ experience in research and the analysis of mechanics, economic issues in environmental protection, bilateral trade, finance, and sectoral issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. He has also coordinated projects for both TACIS and USAID, worked as a Deputy Head of Trade mission in Ukrainian embassy in USA.
